Introduction to Philosophy
Introduction to Philosophy: A Comprehensive Primer (11th Edition) is a gripping, straightforward, and well-detailed introduction that focuses on the core questions of philosophy and the many ways to answer them. The authors combine key passages from important texts in the history of philosophy with selected passages from contemporary philosophy, clarifying the text while providing context with their own detailed commentary and interpretation. About the author
RobertC.Solomon is QuincyLee Centennial Professor of Business and Philosophy and Distinguished Professor of Teaching at the University of Texas at Austin. His main areas of research are 19th century German philosophy, especially Hegel and Nietzsche, and 20th century continental philosophy, especially Sartre and phenomenology, while being well versed in ethics and theories of emotion. He has published more than forty books.
KathleenM.Higgins is a philosophy professor at the University of Texas at Austin and Solomon's wife. She has published more than twenty books.
ClancyMartin is professor of philosophy at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. He has published many books.
