《米芾》内容简介

　　米芾是十一世纪一位成就斐然的书法家，也是中国艺术史上的著名人物之一。身为受过良好教育的精英，或曰文人士大夫，他也对探讨书法（这是文人以形象化方式表达自我的最重要手段）的功能与风格这一理论议题做出了卓越的贡献。在本书中，石慢在艺术家跌宕起伏的人生框架内探索其书法艺术，并深入考察了米芾所在年代北宋的文化，以及米芾对文人艺术理论的推动作用。

　　石慢（PeterSturman），耶鲁大学博士，现为美国加州大学圣芭芭拉分校艺术与建筑史系教授，研究方向为中国绘画与书法。著有《米芾：风格与北宋的书法艺术》（耶鲁大学出版社，1997）、《招隐：十七世纪中国的诗画与政治》（圣芭芭拉美术馆，2012）等。

Brief introduction of Mi Fu

Mi Fu was an accomplished calligrapher in the 11th century and one of the famous figures in the history of Chinese art. As a well-educated elite, or literati, he also made an outstanding contribution to the theoretical issue of the function and style of calligraphy, the most important means by which literati expressed themselves in a visual way. In this book, Shi explores the art of calligraphy within the context of the artist's ups and downs, and explores the culture of the Northern Song Dynasty in Mi Fu's time, as well as Mi Fu's role in promoting the theory of literati art.

With the passing of time, Mi Fu's status and role in the society of the Northern Song Dynasty changed constantly: as an art connoisseur, as an official with heavy responsibilities, as an idle person who was devoted to mountains and rivers, and as a talented person who served the emperor and was deeply influenced by Taoist thought. Mi Fu expressed his changing social and personal ideals under different social roles by exploring and developing his calligraphy style. The book follows this thread, both chronologically and thematically. Shi's analysis is careful and subtle, taking into account the content and style of the calligraphy works, and placing Mi Fu's calligraphy firmly in the context of the historical development of the Northern Song Dynasty. At the same time, Shi Slow interprets "calligraphy", the most Chinese characteristic art form, by the relationship between Mi Fu and the art history of calligraphy after his life.

PeterSturman, Ph.D., Yale University, is a professor of art and architectural history at the University of California, Santa Barbara, where his research focuses on Chinese painting and calligraphy. He is the author of Mi Fu: Style and the Art of Calligraphy in the Northern Song Dynasty (Yale University Press, 1997) and Recruiting: Poetry, Painting and Politics in Seventh-century China (Santa Barbara Art Museum, 2012).

Zhang Rongfang, curator of Guangdong Provincial Museum. Master of Fine Arts, research direction: Art history, antiquities and Museology. He is engaged in exhibition planning and art history research, and has published many papers on cultural relics, museology and design in periodicals such as Art Observation.

Zhu Shuai is a researcher and doctoral supervisor at the School of Art, Peking University. He is engaged in the research of calligraphy history and design history, and his research direction is art history theory. He graduated from the Central Academy of Fine Arts and Peking University, and successively obtained the bachelor of Arts, master's degree and doctor's degree.
