本书共收录西西短篇小说十一篇，获台湾第十一届时报文学奖之小说推荐奖。
这里的主角是足球裁判员或偷渡难民，故事发生在一座浮城或不存在的肥土镇，有人梦到自己飘在半空，有人发现自己身处禁闭营……作者在序言里说，在生命的激流中，每个人都有不同的渡船。如果你也听到了远方的鸟鸣，或许就是该打开这本书，探索河之彼岸的时刻。
作者简介
西西，原名张彦，广东中山人。1938年生于上海，1950年定居香港，毕业于葛量洪教育学院，曾任教职，又专事文学创作与研究，为香港《素叶文学》同人。著作极丰，出版有诗集、散文、长短篇小说等近三十种。1983年，短篇小说《像我这样的一个女子》获联合报第八届小说奖之联副短篇小说推荐奖。1992年，她的长篇小说《哀悼乳房》名列台湾《中国时报》开卷十大好书。1999年，长篇小说《我城》被《亚洲周刊》评入二十世纪中文小说一百强。2005年，继王安忆、陈映真之后获世界华文文学奖，获奖作品是长篇小说《飞毡》。2009年，《我的乔治亚》、《看房子》入围台北国际书展大奖。2014年获得台湾“全球华文文学奖星云奖之贡献奖”。

About the author
Xixi, formerly known as Zhang Yan, was born in Zhongshan, Guangdong Province. Born in Shanghai in 1938, settled in Hong Kong in 1950, graduated from Grantham Institute of Education, used to teach, and specialized in literary creation and research, Hong Kong "Suye Literature" fan. He has published nearly 30 kinds of poems, essays and short and short stories. In 1983, the short story "A Woman like Me" won the Joint Short Story Recommendation Award of the 8th United Daily News Fiction Award. In 1992, her novel "Mourning Breasts" was listed among the top ten open book books of Taiwan's China Times. In 1999, the novel "My City" was ranked by Asia Weekly as one of the top 100 Chinese novels of the 20th century. In 2005, following Wang Anyi and Chen Yingzhen, he won the World Chinese Literature Prize for his novel "Flying Felt". In 2009, "My Georgia" and "House Watching" were shortlisted for the Taipei International Book Fair Award. In 2014, he was awarded the "Contribution Award of the Nebula Award for Global Chinese Literature Awards" in Taiwan.
