《中国文化与中国的兵》内容简介

　　这本小书，应该是在雷海宗迁至昆明后依约编辑的。历经南迁奔波的雷海宗，坐定在暂时平静的书桌前，从昆明远眺陷于战火中的半个中国，在强烈的民族情感、国难危机的压力与历史哲学的理性思考中往返穿行，感慨反思，刚毅坚卓。

　　全书的上编冠以“传统文化之评价”，下编则冠以“抗战建国中的中国”，先对其认定的传统中国文化演进中的核心议题相对系统地表达思想观点，再以其所借鉴的文化形态史观，描绘战火纷飞之中、存亡危机之下的中国文化死中求生的希望！

　　本书聚焦军事问题、家族制度、元首体制三个方面，对中国文化及重大政治问题进行了集中探索与透视，并以淝水之战和抗日战争作为中国文化第二周和第三周的起点，对抗战形势和中国文化的发展做出了积极的展望，正如其在《建国——在望的第三周文化》一文中所说：“兵可说是民族文化基本精神的问题，家族可说是社会的基本问题，元首可说是政治的基本问题。三个问题若都能圆满地解决，建国运动就必可成功，第三周文化就必可实现。”

　　作者简介

　　著者：雷海宗(1902—1962)，“通中外，贯古今，兼宏微，融史哲”的史学大家。1927年获美国芝加哥大学博士学位，回国后先后执教于南京中央大学、武汉大学、清华大学、西南联大和南开大学。雷海宗先生被认为是20世纪中国最杰出的学者之一，与梁启超、蒋廷黻、郑天挺并称“南开史学四大家”。代表作有《中国文化与中国的兵》《国史纲要》《历史·时势·人心》等。

　　导读者：江沛，南开大学英才特聘教授，南开大学中外文明交叉科学研究中心执行主任，兼任中国史学会理事、中国现代史学会副会长、天津历史学学会副理事长等职。著有《战国策派思潮研究》、《国民党结构史论》（下卷）等，主编《中国近代交通社会史丛书》，发表论文百余篇，主要从事中国近代社会史、政治史等领域的研究。

This little book should have been edited by contract after Lei Haizong moved to Kunming. About the author

Author: Lei Haizong (1902-1962), a master of historiography who "communicated with China and abroad, through ancient and modern times, both macro and micro, and blended history and philosophy". In 1927, he received his doctorate from the University of Chicago in the United States. After returning to China, he taught in Nanjing Central University, Wuhan University, Tsinghua University, Southwest Associated University and Nankai University. Mr. Lei Haizong was regarded as one of the most outstanding scholars in China in the 20th century, together with Liang Qichao, Jiang Tingfu and Zheng Tianting as the "four masters of Nankai Historiography". His representative works include "Chinese Culture and Chinese soldiers", "Outline of National History", "History, Current Situation and People's Heart" and so on.

Guide Reader: Jiang Pei, Distinguished Distinguished Professor of Nankai University, Executive director of the Scientific Research Center for the Intersection of Chinese and Foreign Civilizations of Nankai University, also serves as a council member of the Chinese Historical Society, vice president of the Chinese Modern History Society, and vice president of the Tianjin Historical Society.
