The world-renowned psychologist, whose work focused on childhood trauma and its impact on adult life, caused a huge response and played a crucial role in promoting new educational thinking. After surviving Nazi persecution during World War II, Miller enrolled at the University of Basel in 1946, earning doctorates in philosophy, psychology, and sociology from 1953. Many of his best-selling international works have become contemporary psychology classics. Masterpieces include The Tragedy of Gifted Children, Bodies Don't Lie, Eve's Awakening and so on. Her achievements have been commemorated by foundations, libraries and schools around the world that bear her name.
