《中产上海》内容简介

　　中国中产的崛起是对共同富裕理念和中国式现代化的有效诠释。今日中国中产既有强烈进取的经济发展动力、强有力的爱国与世界眼光，同时对全球化、西方霸权衰落、动荡中的中美关系有着独立且敏锐的观察、研判，具备坦率与直接的批评谏言能力。中国中产的迅速兴起和爆发性增长，将驱动中国国内的发展，并直接影响中国的对外姿态。

"Middle Class Shanghai" content introduction

The rise of China's middle class is an effective interpretation of the concept of common prosperity and Chinese-style modernization. Today's Chinese middle class not only has strong and enterprising economic development momentum, strong patriotism and global vision, but also has independent and keen observation, research and judgment on globalization, the decline of Western hegemony, and the turbulent Sino-US relations, and has the ability to frankly and directly criticize and advise. The rapid rise and explosive growth of China's middle class will drive China's domestic development and directly affect China's external posture.

The author introduces and analyzes the living conditions of the Chinese middle class represented by the Shanghai middle class from various aspects such as society, economy, academia and art, and uses a large number of data analysis and investigation as the starting point to rationally view the rise and development of China, focus on the "middle class" as a social force in China, and understand the discussion in the context of the current Sino-US relations and the new situation of globalization.

Cheng Li is the founding Director of the Centre for Contemporary China and the World Studies at the University of Hong Kong and a professor in the Department of Politics and Public Administration at the University of Hong Kong. Prior to joining the University of Hong Kong, he was the director of the John Thornton China Center at the Brookings Institution and the first Chinese director. He is currently a director of the National Committee on US-China Relations, a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, a visiting Senior Fellow at the Brookings Institution, a Distinguished Fellow at the Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy at the University of Toronto, a non-resident fellow at the Paul Chua China Center at Yale University, and a resident Scholar at the Asia Society in Hong Kong. His research interests include the development and evolution of China's middle class, China's science and technology policy and public health policy, Sino-US think tank comparison, and Sino-US relations.
