Female Education 【 Content Introduction 】

"I don't want them to have power over men, I just want them to have power over themselves."

In Wollstonecraft's eighteenth century, girls were the so-called "angels of the house," often confined to the hadoirs where their talents could not be used, and the education of women made them shallow and incompetent. The author wrote the book on the eve of the French Revolution, and with the outbreak of the Revolution, her name entered the European public with her work.

In this early work, the author followed and developed John Locke's basic educational ideas, criticizing the shortcomings of female education at the time and believing that education was the key to the full development of individual reason, and providing a practical guide to the education of daughters for the new English middle class that is still available to parents today. Featuring educational content on character, interests, manners, love, manners, and the treatment of animals, supplemented by basic parenting instructions, the book is an early version of today's popular self-help manuals, and the language draws on many of the English literary traditions. The pioneering feminist educator is on full display in the book, with flashes of wit.
