布鲁斯·斯特林（1954—）
美国著名科幻小说家，赛博朋克文学运动领军人物，雨果奖、阿瑟·克拉克奖、约翰·W.坎贝尔纪念奖等重要科幻文学奖项得主。斯特林主要创作赛博朋克科幻小说，他因在赛博朋克领域的杰出贡献而被冠以“布鲁斯主席”的称号。代表作品除本书《圣火》外，还有《差分机》《分裂矩阵》《网络岛》《全球大脑》等。

At the end of the 21st century, the power of the world is in the hands of conservative old people who care only about their health, capital investments, and the latest advances in life-extending technology. Young people, meanwhile, live on the margins of society, eking out an existence on free rations handed out by the government and the sale on the black market of earlier technology stolen from more underdeveloped times.
Mia is a 94-year-old medical economist who enjoys all the benefits of her position and her age. However, she has met two people in recent days, and it has made her realize that she has lived so carefully that she has completely lost her joy and appetite for adventure. So she decides to undergo a radical and painful life-extension upgrade therapy to reboot her life as a young posthuman. After the surgery, she escapes medical surveillance, gets on a plane to Europe, and begins a wild journey across Europe to pursue the sacred fire that symbolizes love and creativity.

Bruce Sterling (1954 -)
Famous American science fiction novelist, leading figure of the cyberpunk literary movement, Hugo Award, Arthur C. Clarke Award, John W. Campbell Memorial Award and other major science fiction literature awards. Sterling, who primarily wrote cyberpunk science fiction, was nicknamed "Chairman Bruce" for his contributions to the cyberpunk scene. In addition to the book "Sacred Fire", there are "Difference Engine", "Split Matrix", "Network Island" and "Global Brain".
Cheap Truth, an important magazine in the history of science fiction founded by him, provided a publishing front for many cyberpunk writers and became a milestone event in the world of science fiction literature, which is directly related to the forming and future development direction of cyberpunk culture. The science fiction classic "Neuromancer" by William Gibson was published in the first issue of the magazine.
