1933年出生于日本东京崎玉县，社会派推理小说代表人物，“日本推理文坛五虎将”之一。
1967年，以《大都会》走上文坛。1969年，其成名作《高层的死角》获第十五届“江户川乱步奖”。1973年，其作品《腐蚀的构造》获第二十六届“日本推理作家协会奖”。2011年，78岁的森村诚一凭借《恶道》第四十五届“吉川英治文学奖”，成为该奖历史上最年长的获奖者。其扛鼎之作《人性的证明》《青春的证明》《野性的证明》在日本掀起了“证明”浪潮，开创了日本推理小说的新纪元。

Seiichi Morimura
Born in 1933 in Saitama Prefecture, Tokyo, Japan, he is a representative character of social mystery novels and one of the "five tigers of Japanese mystery literature".
In 1967, he entered the literary world with Metropolis. In 1969, his famous work "The Dead Corner of the Top" won the 15th "Edogawa Disorderly Step Award". In 1973, his work "Corroded Structure" won the 26th "Mystery Writers Association of Japan Award". In 2011, Seiichi Morimura, 78, became the oldest winner in the history of the 45th Yoshikawa Eiji Literature Prize for The Evil Way. His masterpiece "The proof of human nature", "the proof of youth" and "the proof of wildness" set off the wave of "proof" in Japan and created a new era of Japanese mystery novels.
