《鹿隐之野》《鹿隐之野》是一部短篇小说集，也是一部历史寓言集。
作者押沙龙将历史、神话、传说熔炼于作品中，创作了七个脑洞大开的故事。
这些故事有的奇幻，比如开篇从上古时期讲起，流落人间的天人发现了一个孩子，教会他建立文明的秘密；
有的伤感，比如讲人牲的逃亡，在保护爱人和自己苟活之间做出选择；
有的则很荒诞，比如闯入桃花源的军官发现，原来那里的原住民都只是自己痛苦的回忆……

Absalom melds history, myth, and legend into seven imaginative stories.
Some of these stories are fantastic. They begin in ancient times, when a wandering man finds a child and teaches him the secrets of civilization.
Some are sad, such as talking about the escape of human beings, making a choice between protecting the lover and surviving on their own;
Some are absurd, such as the officers who break into the peach blossom source and find that the original natives there are only their own painful memories...
These stories point to the relationship between man and power, and how complex human weaknesses react within that relationship.
