《最后的天空之后》【内容简介】

　　爱德华·W.萨义德（EdwardW.Said，1935-2003）美籍巴勒斯坦人，文学理论家、公共知识分子，“后殖民主义”批评理论的奠基者，最具影响力的文学与文化批评家之一。

　　1935年出生于耶路撒冷，在英国占领期间就读巴勒斯坦和埃及开罗的西方学校，接受英式教育，50年代赴美国就学，取得哈佛大学博士学位，1963年起任哥伦比亚大学英美文学与比较文学专业教授。

　　代表性著作有：《东方学》（曾获美国国家书评家奖）、《巴勒斯坦问题》、《文化与帝国主义》、《知识分子论》和《流离失所的政治：巴勒斯坦自决的奋斗，1969-1994》（1994）等。

　　作为公共知识分子，萨义德为以色列的巴勒斯坦人争取平等政治权利和人权，并长期呼吁美国向以色列施加压力以保障与维护这些权利，被常驻中东的资深记者罗伯·菲斯卡称为巴勒斯坦人民“最有力的政治声音”。

　　吉恩·莫尔（JeanMohr）自由摄影师。1925年出生于日内瓦，1949年起开始活跃于瑞士纪录片摄影圈，主要服务全球各人道主义组织，包括联合国难民组织、红十字国际委员会、联合国近东巴勒斯坦难民救济和工程处、世界卫生组织、国际劳工组织等。

　　共出版28本摄影书，荣获“人权的摄影师”（1978年，科隆）、“当代摄影奖”（1984年）、“日内瓦造型艺术”（1988年，首次由摄影师获得）等荣誉。

　　另与约翰·伯格合著有《一个幸运的人》、《另一种叙述方式》。

Not a day goes by in this world without the news of the Palestinians. They seem to be immobilized: either murderous terrorists or miserable refugees. Little is known about their true condition. Said's words, together with Jean Moore's photography, paint yet another deeply moving and true portrait of the Palestinians. From the establishment of Israel to the fall of Beirut, Palestinians have been displaced and suffered in successive disposals of land. This includes the real story of Said himself and his relatives. But in this painful history of exile, Said also recognises the emergence of a new Palestinian national consciousness. Palestinian self-identity will not be based on exile and victimhood; rather, it will be rooted in persistence, hope, and an awakened sense of community.

EdwardW.Said (1935-2003) was a Palestinian American literary theorist, public intellectual, founder of "post-colonial" critical theory, and one of the most influential literary and cultural critics.

Born in Jerusalem in 1935, he attended Western schools in Palestine and Cairo, Egypt, during the British occupation, and received an English education. In the 1950s, he went to the United States, where he received a doctorate from Harvard University and became a professor of American and American literature and comparative literature at Columbia University in 1963.

His books include Orientalism (winner of the National Book Critics' Award), The Question of Palestine, Culture and Imperialism, Intellectual Theory, and The Politics of Displacement: The Palestinian Struggle for Self-determination, 1969-1994 (1994).

As a public intellectual, Said has campaigned for equal political and human rights for Palestinians in Israel and has long called for the United States to put pressure on Israel to secure and uphold these rights, and has been called the Palestinian people's "most powerful political voice" by veteran Middle East journalist Rob Fiska.

JeanMohr is a freelance photographer. Born in Geneva in 1925, he has been active in Swiss documentary photography since 1949, mainly serving humanitarian organizations around the world, including the United Nations Refugee Organization, the International Committee of the Red Cross, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East, the World Health Organization, and the International Labor Organization.

He has published 28 books on photography and has been awarded the "Photographer of Human Rights" (Cologne, 1978), the "Contemporary Photography Prize" (1984), and the "Geneva Plastic Arts" (1988, the first time a photographer was awarded).

He is also co-author with John Berg of "A Lucky Man" and "Another Way of Telling."

Jin Yuejue graduated from the School of Journalism, Renmin University of China in 2001 and obtained a master's degree in journalism from the University of British Columbia in 2003.
