　　2014年7月，以色列六年以来对加沙走廊地区发动第三次轰炸，这也是最为惨烈的一次。七周的战事过后，2200名加沙平民死于炮弹之下，超过1万人受伤。

　　巴勒斯坦籍著名记者。1984年出生，成长于拉法难民营，2006年获得加沙伊斯兰大学英语与文学学士。

　　随后，他赴欧美进修，取得了荷兰公民身份。之后毅然回到加沙，作为一名战地记者，记录下这里恶劣的环境、困苦的人民，为他们发声。他的文章和报导散见于《纽约时报》、《华盛顿邮报》（中东事务版）、《新政治家》和半岛电视台等，24岁便拿下战地记者的最高荣誉玛莎·盖尔霍恩奖，29岁入围Pulse的“全球20大媒体顶尖人物”名单。

In July 2014, Israel launched its third bombing campaign against the Gaza Strip in six years, and it was the most deadly. After seven weeks of fighting, 2,200 Gaza civilians have been killed by shelling and more than 10,000 wounded.

Mohamed Omer, a war correspondent who lives in the Gaza corridor with his wife and three-month-old son, has learned a great deal about the suffering of the people there. He wrote about the "scourge of war" : the corpses of children filling refrigerators; One family fled their home after receiving a "scary call" that missiles would hit their house in three minutes. Men were forced to mount guns on donkeys and shoot at any moving target; Mourners lay shell casings on graves to tell people where their dead loved ones are buried; Fishing boats in the harbor were set ablaze...

As a witness, the author still tells the true story with a calm tone. He said: "I wrote this book in the hope that the stories that should be told will be preserved. We hope that our younger generation will restore friendly and peaceful relations and not treat each other as enemies.

The book consists of many short stories of ordinary Gazans whom the author visited and observed, including his neighbors, a father who survived the bombing but saw his daughter blown to pieces, a vendor who could not sell vegetables and meat because he could not do business, and a teenager who was watching the World Cup football match but was suddenly attacked and killed.

Famous Palestinian journalist. Born in 1984 and raised in the Rafah Refugee camp, he received his Bachelor's degree in English and Literature from the Islamic University of Gaza in 2006.

He then went to Europe and the United States for further studies and obtained Dutch citizenship. Then he resolutely returned to Gaza as a war correspondent, documenting the harsh environment and the plight of its people, and speaking up for them. His writing and reporting has appeared in The New York Times, The Washington Post, The New Statesman, and Al Jazeera. At 24, he won the Martha Gellhorn Award, the highest honor for war journalists, and at 29, he was named to Pulse's "Top 20 People in Global Media."

Chomsky said he "has been a reader of his articles for many years" and "should be reflected on his articles."
