A brief introduction to the content of "Guan Infinite Quantity"
Chinese mural paintings are mainly divided into two categories, one is the tomb mural, the other is the palace temple cave mural; One underground, the other above ground, each has its own merits. The author's previous book, "View My Life," focuses on the tomb murals, and restores the life story of the tomb owner and the era history behind it with the interpretation of the tomb murals, while the book "View of Infinite" focuses on the palace and temple cave murals.
"To observe the infinite" is to observe the vast and infinite world. The murals of China's palaces, temples and grottoes are like a vast ocean. They depict everything from the fairyland of the Buddhist kingdom to the earth. The author selects nine groups of murals in the sea of images, excavates the historical information hidden in the images, restores the larger time and space scenes behind the murals, and the life stories of the people living in this scene, and builds up a unique Chinese history. In this history, speech tells not only words, but also those colors, lines and twists and turns, those vivid and expressive.
