《韦小宝自传》内容简介
俺，韦小宝，历史上有无此人已不可考，多半由金庸老先生杜撰所出，所以俺的出世多亏了这位金大侠。俺一直以为韦小宝是金庸老先生笔下重要的人物。俺对当代中国人的影响，恐怕在二十世纪所有小说人物中可比的不多。在《鹿鼎记》中，金老爷子将中国封建时期下层社会对一个人所产生的各种影响，全都附加到俺身上，金老爷子没用儒家思想教化俺，没用道家思想洗涤俺，只用中国古代市井文化熏陶俺，让俺有了些流氓性质，有些了小人手段，有了些英雄气息，淋漓尽致地反映了俺这个不学无术的中国人的本性。在写《鹿鼎记》时，金老爷子说他在写一个“流氓”，但绝大多数读者都把俺这个“流氓”当成了英雄，甚至有很多人争而仿效之。
Introduction to the autobiography of Wei Xiaobao
I, Wei Xiaobao, whether or not this person in history is impossible to determine, most of it was invented by Mr. Jin Yong, so I was born thanks to this Jin warrior. I always thought Wei Xiaobao was an important character in Jin Yong's works. I am afraid I have had less influence on the contemporary Chinese than any character in twentieth-century fiction. In "The Deer and the Cauldern", Mr. Jin attached all the influences that the lower society had on a person during the feudal period of China to me, he did not educate me with Confucianism, did not wash me with Taoism, but only influenced me with ancient Chinese city culture, so that I had some gangster nature, some villain methods, and some heroic atmosphere. It vividly reflects the nature of this ignorant Chinese people. When writing "The Deer and the Cauldron", King said he was writing a "rogue", but the vast majority of readers regard me as a "rogue" as a hero, and even many people fight to follow suit.
