About the author
Georges Bataille (1897-1962) was a famous French philosopher, critic, novelist and pioneer of post-structuralism in the first half of the 20th century. His philosophical thought takes the unique theory of consumption as its starting point, and is characterized by intelligent mysticism. His field of vision includes philosophy, ethics, social criticism and sexual theory. His thought continued the critical tendency of Nietzsche, Kierkegaard and Sade, followed the trend of thought of French families in the late 20th century, and had a deep influence on Foucault, Derrida and Baudrillard. His works include Inner Experience, Pornography, The Blue of the Sky, The Tears of Love, The Story of the Eyes, and the Cursed Part.
