梅尔塞·罗多雷达（1908—1983）
西班牙女作家，被誉为“二战”后最重要的加泰罗尼亚语小说家之一。
出生于巴塞罗那，二十岁前后即开始在报刊上发表短篇小说。西班牙内战爆发后，于一九三九年被迫流亡国外，先到法国，后定居瑞士日内瓦，从事小说创作。一直到一九七九年才返回祖国，在赫罗纳省一个偏僻小镇度过了人生的最后四年。
著有多部长篇小说，其中出版于一九六二年的小说《钻石广场》使她在国际文坛上声誉鹊起，加西亚·马尔克斯认为“西班牙内战后问世的文学作品中无出其右者”，是描写西班牙内战的经典之作，被翻译为四十多种语言。一九六六年的小说《茶花大街》也为她赢得多个文学奖项。

The Beginning of the Beginning is a reprint of a selection of short stories by the Spanish writer Merce Rodoeda, originally titled "Meditations", containing thirty short stories, covering the full range of the author's expression: From literary realism to fragmented impressionism to dark symbolism, it clearly captures the lives and inner worlds of women caught between unconscious modernity and suffocating tradition. Melser Rodoreda (1908-1983)
Spanish writer, known as one of the most important Catalan novelists since World War II.
Born in Barcelona, he began publishing short stories in the press around the age of 20. After the outbreak of the Spanish Civil War, he was forced into exile in 1939, first to France, and then to settle in Geneva, Switzerland, where he wrote novels. He returned to his homeland in 1979 and spent the last four years of his life in a remote town in the province of Girona.
The author of a number of novels, including the 1962 novel Plaza de la Diamond, which brought her to international fame, Garcia Marquez considers that "there is no other literary work since the Spanish Civil War", is a classic description of the Spanish Civil War, has been translated into more than 40 languages. Her 1966 novel Camellia Avenue won her several literary awards.
He has also published three collections of short stories and a collection of essays.
