孙勇进，1969年出生于吉林省，在南开大学取得文学博士学位。主要研究中国古典小说、当代武侠文化和域外汉文学。先后于《文学评论》《南开大学学报》《红楼梦学刊》《明清小说研究》《域外汉集研究集刊》等刊物发表论文数十篇。

Sun Yongjin, born in 1969 in Jilin Province, received his doctorate in literature from Nankai University. He mainly studies classical Chinese novels, contemporary Wuxia culture and foreign Chinese literature. He has published dozens of papers in such journals as Literary Review, Journal of Nankai University, Journal of a Dream of Red Mansions, Studies on Novels of Ming and Qing Dynasties, and Collection of Studies on Foreign Han Collections.
