作者简介
巴尔塔萨·托马斯，1967年出生于德国慕尼黑，后移居法国，哲学副教授。在成为哲学副教授之前，他是一位爵士钢琴家。
他是两本哲学书《与斯宾诺莎一起获得自由》《与尼采一起创造自己》的作者；《灰烬之环》是他的第一部小说，该书于2010年入围首届美第西斯奖。

About the author
Baltasar Thomas, born in Munich, Germany in 1967, moved to France and is an associate professor of philosophy. Before becoming an associate professor of philosophy, he was a jazz pianist.
He is the author of two philosophical books, "Freedom with Spinoza" and "Making Yourself with Nietzsche"; The Ring of Ashes, his first novel, was shortlisted for the inaugural Medicis Award in 2010.
