《中华文明史简明读本》内容简介
本书是《（新编）中国通史》纂修工程重要阶段性成果，依据《（新编）中国通史》重大历史理论问题研究报告对中华文明的阐述，按照文明成长历程，以思想文化、精神文明为主线，突出“文明地标”，凸显时代特色、世界意义，宣示中国特色文明定义，揭示中华文明生成发展的内在动力，明确中华文明的核心精神基因、现代元素和突出成就，展现中华文明和其他文明交流互动的历史真相，昭示人类文明新形态的独特品格和世界意义。
本书叙事年代从文明起源一直到新时代。采用章节体，立足新时代历史学研究、考古发现最新成果基础，以时间顺序阐述中华文明发展演进的主线脉络和突出成就，彰显历史悠久的中华文明在新时代达到的新境界、呈现的新气象，展示屹立于世界民族之林的中华民族精神价值和中国历史文化深厚底蕴。深入浅出阐明中华5000多年文明历史的发展规律，助益增进民族文化自信，树立人民群众正确的文明观，为构建人类命运共同体提供历史依据和理论依据。
作者简介
中国社会科学院中国历史研究院成立于2019年1月3日，是中华人民共和国成立以来组建的第一个国家级历史学综合研究机构。2019年1月2日，习近平总书记致贺信表示祝贺。

Brief introduction of the content of the Concise Reader of the History of Chinese Civilization
This book is an important stage result of the compilation and revision project of the (Newly edited) General History of China. Based on the elaboration of the Chinese civilization in the research report on major historical theoretical issues in the (newly edited) General History of China, it highlights the "landmark of civilization", highlights the characteristics of The Times and the significance of the world, and proclaims the definition of civilization with Chinese characteristics. About the author
The Institute of Chinese History, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, was established on January 3, 2019, and is the first national-level comprehensive research institution of history established since the founding of the People's Republic of China.
