In 2019, with the first novel "I want to give birth to Mother" won the 56th Literary Award and debut; In 2020, he won the 33rd Mishima Yukio Award for "I Want to Have a Mother", becoming the youngest ever winner of the Mishima Yukio Award in Japan. In 2021, he won the 164th Ryunosuke Akutagawa Award for his second novel "Idol Loss" and was shortlisted for the Bookstore Award; In 2022, he published his third novel, The Daughter on the Bus, which was shortlisted for the 44th Nonma Literary and Art New Talent Award.
