[西]米恪尔•台•塞万提斯•萨韦德拉(l547—1616)，西班牙伟大的小说家、戏剧家和诗人，欧洲文艺复兴时期杰出的现实主义作家。作品有《堂吉诃德》《贝雪莱斯和西吉斯蒙达历险记》等等。
傅东华（1893—1971），中国著名翻译家、作家。翻译生涯始于“五四”以前，20世纪30年代时就在我国翻译界获得相当影响。一生翻译著作三十多种，涵盖多种文学体裁和流派，分属不同历史时期和国家，其中半数以上属外国文学名著，如《飘》《堂吉诃德》等。
Four hundred years ago, in La Mancha, Spain, there was a squire, who was addicted to chivalry novels, and one day he read dizzy, eager to become a real chivalrous knight, to go out into the world, chivalry, justice, and peace. So he decides to call himself Don Quixote, names his thin horse Losinant, imagines a village girl as Dulcinea, and enlists a farmer, Sancho, as his squire. He sees the windmill as a giant, the sheep as an army, and begins a magical adventure.
For 400 years, Don Quixote has become not only the crown of Spanish literature, the heart of the Western Canon, but also part of the world's cultural heritage. Don Quixote's campaign against the windmill has become a household image, and "quixotic" behavior has become synonymous with reckless, quixotic chivalry. From Stendhal, Flaubert, Heine, Goethe, Nietzsche, Thomas Mann, Dostoevsky, Melville, Mark Twain, all the way to Borges, Llosa, Marquez, Milan Kundera... They were all admirers of Don Quixote and Cervantes.

[s] Miguel de Cervantes Savedra (L547-1616) was a great Spanish novelist, dramatist and poet, and an outstanding realist writer in the European Renaissance. His works include Don Quixote, The Adventures of Bescheres and Sigismunda, and so on.
Fu Donghua (1893-1971) was a famous Chinese translator and writer. The translation career began before the May Fourth Movement and gained considerable influence in Chinese translation circles in the 1930s. During his lifetime, he has translated more than 30 works, covering a variety of literary genres and schools, belonging to different historical periods and countries, more than half of which belong to foreign literary masterpieces, such as Gone with the Wind and Don Quixote.
