  作者简介

  保罗·威德(非化名),绰号“教练”,1957年出生于美国加利福尼亚州旧金山,早年在康特拉科斯塔县的克莱顿生活。因涉嫌管制物品交易,他于1979年被关入圣昆汀州立监狱,之后几次转狱。2002年获释后,他移居英国伦敦附近,并致力于传播在狱中学到的古老的健身法。他只用邮件与外界进行联系,从未露面于公共场合,从未公开任何私人照片。



In Prisoner Fitness 2, Paul Weed has outdone himself. His first book, Prisoner Fitness, is, in my opinion, the best bodyweight exercise ever written. Now, with his sequel, Prisoner Fitness 2, Weed takes us deep into the nitty gritty of exercising with the ultimate apparatus: the body.

The language is plain, but everywhere with a remarkable understanding of anatomy, physiology, kinesiology and even psychology. Weed succinctly explains the most practical ways to work small but important areas such as the palms, forearms, neck, calves, and obliques.

His minimalist exercise method contains the complexity of his system, insight into how the body works, and the best way to work from start to finish in the shortest possible time.

Paul teaches us how to increase body strength with the simplest movements while maintaining overall balance: simple, full-body exercises that are as simple and clear as Prisoner's Fitness.

His essay on stretching and flexibility training is fresh and incisive, just as refreshing as his essay on recovery and healing. Scattered throughout the book are countless insights and "real" advice from a seasoned man who knows exactly what he's talking about.

About the author

Paul Weed (not a pseudonym), nicknamed "Coach", was born in 1957 in San Francisco, California, and spent his early years in Clayton, Contra Costa County. He was sent to SAN Quentin State Prison in 1979 on charges of dealing in controlled substances and was transferred several times. After his release in 2002, he moved to England near London and devoted himself to spreading the ancient fitness techniques he had learned in prison. He only used email to communicate with the outside world, never appeared in public, and never released any private photos.
