本书是张维为教授呼吁“中国信心”的演讲辑录。张维为教授看到，中国发生了真正的“崛起”故事，但在国际、国内话语中，存在对中国崛起不了解、误读、与事实不符的贬低。他基于自己走访百国的实地观察，希望通过自己的发声，提供一种“中国故事”的新讲述，使大众更多维地认识到中国发生了什么变化，更多地看到中国崛起的事实、背后的原因、未来的前景。
他特别提出中国不应该回避任何问题，“中国的问题都说得清楚，中国的问题都有解”，应该坦然面对质疑并给予实事求是的回答。于此，国人应平视、正视国际大背景下的中国发展，对中国模式抱以更大自信，坚定地实践中国道路，推进进一步的中国崛起。
张维为，复旦大学特聘教授、复旦大学中国研究院院长、国家高端智库理事会理事、上海社会科学院中国学研究所所长、上海春秋研究院资深研究员。毕业于复旦大学外文系，获日内瓦大学国际关系硕士、博士学位。曾任牛津大学访问学者、日内瓦外交与国际关系学院教授、日内瓦大学亚洲研究中心高级研究员。20世纪80年代中期，曾担任邓小平和其他中国领导人的英文翻译。走访过一百多个国家。主要著作有《邓小平时代的意识形态与经济改革》（英文）《改造中国：经济改革及其政治影响》（英文）《重塑两岸关系的思考》以及“中国三部曲”系列（《中国震撼》《中国触动》《中国超越》）。
Introduction of works
This book is a compilation of Professor Zhang Weiwei's speeches calling for "confidence in China". Professor Zhang Weiwei saw that China has a real "rise" story, but in the international and domestic discourse, there is a lack of understanding of China's rise, misreading, and belittling that is inconsistent with the facts. Based on his field observations during his visits to 100 countries, he hopes to provide a new telling of the "China story" through his voice, so that the public will have a more multidimensional understanding of what has changed in China, and see more of the facts of China's rise, the reasons behind it, and the prospects for the future.
In particular, he said that China should not avoid any problems, "China's problems are clearly stated, China's problems have solutions," and should face doubts and give realistic answers. In this regard, Chinese people should look at and face squarely China's development in the international context, have greater confidence in the Chinese model, firmly practice the Chinese path, and promote the further rise of China.
Zhang Weiwei is distinguished Professor of Fudan University, Dean of the China Institute of Fudan University, director of the National High-end Think Tank Council, Director of the Institute of Chinese Studies, Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, and senior researcher of Shanghai Spring and Autumn Research Institute. He graduated from Fudan University with a master's degree and a doctorate degree in International Relations from the University of Geneva. He was a visiting scholar at the University of Oxford, a professor at the Geneva School of Diplomacy and International Relations, and a senior Research Fellow at the Centre for Asian Studies at the University of Geneva. Visited more than 100 countries.
