《天下格局》内容简介

　　在本书中，许倬云先生以“从世界看中国，再从中国看世界”的大历史观，用清晰的逻辑、简练的语言为读者呈现了三方面内容。

　　1.第一方面是古代中国受地理环境影响所形成的“天下国家”体制，从“全球化”的视角分析了中国传统内向型经济形态及其与世界经济的联系。

　　2.第二方面是从轴心时代中西文化的比较，延展到现代民族国家的诞生，以及近代以来中国被深度卷人世界贸易体系以后两种文明的互动。

　　3.第三方面是现代世界全球化贸易的兴衰和以此为基础的全新世界格局，在“全球化”走入低谷的今天，中国应该坚持的道路和未来世界的方向。

　　许先生认为，两千多年来中国文化、经济在与世界的互动中形成了独特的气质。他还指出，中国传统“以人为本”的思想、“世界大同”的理念，应该成为构建未来世界发展的重要理论资源。

　　作者简介

　　许倬云

　　1930年生，江苏无锡人。匹兹堡大学历史系荣休讲座教授,台湾“中研院”院士。1962年获芝加哥大学博士学位，先后执教于台湾大学、匹兹堡大学,受聘为香港中文大学、夏威夷大学、杜克大学、香港科技大学、南京大学讲座教授。

　　1986年当选美国人文学社荣誉会士，2004年获美国亚洲学会“杰出贡献奖”，2020年获“全球华人国学大典终身成就奖”，2023年获“影响世界华人终身成就大奖”，2024年获第六届“唐奖·汉学奖”。

　　许先生学贯中西，善于运用社会科学的理论和方法治史，研究领域集中于中国上古史、中国文化史、社会经济史及中西文化比较。学术代表作有“古代中国三部曲”(《西周史》《型塑中国》《汉代农业》)等，另有大众史学著作“中国文化三部曲”(《万古江河》《说中国》《中国文化的精神》)及《经纬华夏》等数十种行世。

"World Pattern" content introduction

In this book, Mr. Xu Zhuoyun presents three aspects to readers with clear logic and concise language, based on the grand historical view of "looking at China from the world, and then looking at the world from China."

1. The first part is the "state under the world" system formed by the geographical environment in ancient China. From the perspective of "globalization", this paper analyzes China's traditional inward-looking economy and its relationship with the world economy.

2. The second aspect extends from the comparison of Chinese and Western cultures in the Axis Era to the birth of modern nation-states and the interaction between the two civilizations after China was deeply involved in the world trade system in modern times.

3. The third aspect is the rise and fall of global trade in the modern world and the new world pattern based on it. At the moment when "globalization" has entered the trough, China should adhere to the road and the future direction of the world.

Mr. Xu believes that for more than two thousand years, Chinese culture and economy have formed a unique temperament in the interaction with the world. He also pointed out that the traditional Chinese idea of "putting people first" and the concept of "world harmony" should become an important theoretical resource for building the future development of the world.

About the author

Xu Zhuoyun

Born in 1930 in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province. Emeritus Professor of History, University of Pittsburgh, Academician, Academia Sinica, Taiwan. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Chicago in 1962, and has taught at Taiwan University and the University of Pittsburgh. He has been appointed as Chair professor at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, the University of Hawaii, Duke University, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and Nanjing University.

He was elected an honorary Fellow of the American Society of Humanities in 1986, won the "Outstanding Contribution Award" of the Asian Society of America in 2004, won the "Lifetime Achievement Award of the Global Chinese Sinology Festival" in 2020, won the "Lifetime Achievement Award of Influencing the World Chinese" in 2023, and won the sixth "Tang Award and Sinology Award" in 2024.

Mr. Xu has a thorough knowledge of both Chinese and Western cultures, and is good at using social science theories and methods to govern history. His research fields focus on ancient Chinese history, Chinese cultural history, social and economic history, and the comparison of Chinese and Western cultures. Academic representative works include "Ancient China Trilogy" (" Western Zhou History ", "Shaping China", "Agriculture in the Han Dynasty"), etc., and popular historical works "Chinese Culture Trilogy" (" All Ancient Rivers ", "Talking China", "The Spirit of Chinese Culture") and "Jingwei Huaxia" and other dozens of lines.

Feng Junwen

A native of Huanggang, Hubei Province, he graduated from the Chinese Studies experimental Class of Wuhan University and is now a visiting scholar at the Asia Center of the University of Pittsburgh.
