《西书东藏》内容简介

　　在中国，对古籍的研究、书写自来多矣，而对近代以来境内流传的外文书的研究，还没有过如本书这样的作品。

　　作者选取的37位人物均是在1912年至1949年这一时段中有过重要经历的知识分子。书中第一个人物颜惠庆，1912年时35岁，被擢升为外交部次长；最后一个人物夏志清，1949年时28岁，正在美国耶鲁大学攻读博士学位。

　　作者细心钩稽书背后的历史，依据实物讲述名家的阅读和藏书故事，做“知识的考掘”，意在挖掘思想、观念、知识的脉络，实有思想层面深刻的意义。

　　在写法上，本书采取“书话”的方式，不故作高深；着重事实的讲述，谨守实证的边界，不做理论的推阐。随书附入大量书影，全彩印刷，可供读者参考和鉴赏。“阅读史的意义就藏在从未裁开的书页与密密麻麻的批注之中。”

In China, there have been many studies and writings on ancient books, but there has never been such a work as this book on the study of foreign books circulating in China since modern times.

The 37 characters selected by the author are all intellectuals who had important experiences in the period from 1912 to 1949. The first character in the book, Yan Huiqing, was promoted to vice minister of Foreign Affairs in 1912 at the age of 35. The final character, Xia Zhiqing, was 28 years old in 1949, and was studying for a doctorate at Yale University in the United States.

The author carefully checks the history behind the book, tells the story of the famous person's reading and collection of books according to the actual material, and does "knowledge exploration", which aims to dig the vein of thoughts, concepts and knowledge, and has profound significance at the ideological level.

In writing, this book adopts the way of "calligraphy", and does not pretend to be profound; Emphasis on the narration of facts, strictly adhere to the boundaries of empirical, do not do theoretical interpretation. About the author

Liu Zheng, pen name Jonathan. He graduated from Tsinghua University and now lives in Guangzhou. He is the author of "Shiyouji" and "Youyouji", the editor of "Japanese Reading Theory", and the translator of "Jide Reading Diary". Won the sixth One Direction Street Bookstore Literary Award for Annual Criticism for "The Existing Collection".
