Under the Sea Breeze is the first book written by Rachel Carson, America's greatest nature writer, twenty years before Silent Spring. Marine biologist, one of the most influential American nature writers of the 20th century. His works include Under the Sea Wind (1941), The Big Blue Ocean (1951), By the Sea (1955) and Silent Spring (1962). He was elected to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences in 1963. He was posthumously awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 1980. One of Time magazine's 100 most influential people of the 20th century and one of Life magazine's 100 most Important Americans of the 20th century.
