《波兰人》【内容简介】

生于南非开普敦，当代世界文坛重要作家之一。首位两度摘得英语文学桂冠布克奖的作家，2003年诺贝尔文学奖得主。他从个体出发观察世界，聚焦被主流话语忽视的边缘经验。其作品冷峻锋利，直面欲望、耻辱、衰老，探寻个体尊严离场后的生存出路，被誉为当代世界文学品位的重要塑造者。

李鹏程，1983年出生于山西阳泉，2007年毕业于中国人民大学，译有保罗·奥斯特《4321》、王鸥行《大地上我们转瞬即逝的绚烂》等作品。

The Pole is Coetzee's new novel after a long career of nearly half a century. In a simple and meaningful style, it accurately captures the symptoms of the era of eroticism. An elderly Pole meets a woman in Barcelona and is surprised that believers in divine love still exist in this day and age. He was like a ghost from the past, a vestige of a bygone era. He fell in love with her and she only felt sorry for him.

Born in Cape Town, South Africa, he is one of the most important writers in contemporary world literature. The first author to win the Booker Prize for English literature twice, and the 2003 Nobel Prize for Literature. He views the world from an individual perspective, focusing on marginal experiences that are ignored by mainstream discourse. His works are cold and sharp, confronting desire, shame and aging, and exploring the way out of survival after the departure of individual dignity. He is known as an important shaper of contemporary world literary taste.
Translator:
Li Pengcheng, born in Yangquan, Shanxi Province in 1983, graduated from Renmin University of China in 2007. He has translated Paul Auster's 4321 and Wang Ouxing's Our Fleeting Beauty on the Earth.

Huang Yuning, deputy Editor-in-Chief of Shanghai Translation Publishing House, Vice president of Shanghai Translators Association, editor-in-chief of Foreign Literature and Art. He has translated nearly three million words, including "On Chessell Beach," "The Life and Times of Michael K.," and "The Screws Are Turning."
