作者|乌戈·韦尔塔·马林（HugoHuertaMalin）

About the author

Born in Mexico, he is a crossover artist and graphic designer whose work revolves around issues of gender and cultural identity. Since moving to New York in 2012, he has worked with multiple cultural institutions in the United States and Mexico, including Solomon R. The Guggenheim Museum. In 2014, he joined performance artist Marina Abramovic's studio as artistic director, working with her, It operates in art venues around the world, including the Royal Danish Library in Copenhagen, the SESC Leisure Centre in Pompeii in Sao Paulo, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Stockholm, the Malaga Centre for Modern Art in Spain, the Art Paradise in Los Angeles, the Fondation Beyeler in Basel, and the Royal Academy of Arts in London. Ugo has had solo exhibitions at TheHoleGallery in New York, at the NeverApartGallery in Montreal, and at the CasaWabi and MUAC University Museum of Contemporary Art in Mexico. He was also involved in the artist residency program at CasaNano in Tokyo in 2019.
