本书是一部介绍20世纪英美语言哲学史的普及读物。
所谓语言哲学，顾名思义，就是关于语言的哲学。它关切语言的意义、指称、用法，以及语言与思维之间的关系等命题，但它的最终目的是通过对语言的探究来理解世界。
20世纪初，西方哲学经历了所谓“语言转向”，人们不再仅仅把语言当作哲学思考的工具，而是把它视为一种哲学研究的对象。由此，语言哲学成为20世纪西方哲学的核心议题。
英美语言哲学的发展历程大致分为以下五个阶段：一、以弗雷格、罗素、早期维特根斯坦为代表的语言哲学的形成；二、以维也纳学派为代表的逻辑实证主义思潮的兴起；三、以后期维特根斯坦、牛津学派为代表的日常语言哲学的转向；四、以蒯因为代表的逻辑实证主义与美国实用主义的融合；五、以克里普克、塞尔等为代表的语言哲学在当代的新发展。本书各章节即循此展开。
作者简介
王维，青年哲学人，世界本原文化研究院研究员。1981年生于古城西安。曾就职于中央电视台，长期从事媒体经营工作，后来受到多方面影响和启发，开始专注于哲学学习和钻研。目前主要致力于形而上学、语言哲学等领域的研究和探索，著有《形而上学之思》。
近年来，他尝试做一些哲学普及工作，希望通过广泛普及哲学知识，让大众更深刻地理解和领会哲学的理性精神，也希望在这片土地上能有越来越多的人具有理性思辨的品格。
Introduction to the content of Language, Meaning and World
This book is a popular introduction to the history of English and American language philosophy in the 20th century.
The so-called philosophy of language, as the name implies, is the philosophy of language. It is concerned with the meaning, reference, usage of language, as well as the relationship between language and thinking, but its ultimate goal is to understand the world through the inquiry of language.
At the beginning of the 20th century, Western philosophy experienced the so-called "linguistic turn", people no longer regard language as a tool of philosophical thinking, but regard it as an object of philosophical research. Thus, philosophy of language has become the core issue of Western philosophy in the 20th century.
The development of Anglo-American philosophy of language can be roughly divided into the following five stages: first, the formation of the philosophy of language represented by Frege, Russell and early Wittgenstein; Second, the rise of logical positivism represented by the Vienna School; Third, the turn of daily language philosophy represented by Wittgenstein and Oxford School in the later period; Fourth, the integration of logical positivism represented by Quine and American pragmatism; Fifth, the new development of the philosophy of language represented by Kripke and Searle in contemporary times. This is how the chapters of this book unfold.
About the author
Wang Wei, a young philosopher, researcher of the World Original Culture Research Institute. He was born in Xi 'an in 1981. He used to work for CCTV and was engaged in media business for a long time. Later, influenced and inspired by many aspects, he began to focus on philosophy study and research. At present, he is mainly engaged in the research and exploration of metaphysics, philosophy of language and other fields, and wrote "Metaphysical Thoughts".
In recent years, he has tried to do some philosophical popularization work, hoping that through the widespread popularization of philosophical knowledge, the public can more deeply understand and grasp the rational spirit of philosophy, and also hope that more and more people in this land can have the character of rational thinking.
