本书共三十讲，从先秦的初税亩，讲到晚清的度支部，通过解答一个个历史问题，用财政的线索重新梳理了一遍古代中国的成长历程，从钱的角度解释了众多历史中的现象。书中每讲皆围绕三个线索展开：第一，财政制度的三个要素，收入、支出、管理，在历史时空中不断变化的轨迹；第二，从财政制度变迁的角度，看中华国家不断成长的历程；第三，财政领域中的强制权力从君主私权一步步实现公共化的历史进程。
作者简介
刘守刚，上海财经大学教授，经济学博士、法学博士，研究方向为中国财政史、西方财政思想史、财政政治学。代表著作有《国家的财政面向》《财政中国三千年》《打开现代：国家转型的财政政治》《中国古代治国理财经典阐释》等。

This book consists of 30 lectures, from the initial tax Mu in the pre-Qin Dynasty to the Du branch in the late Qing Dynasty, through answering historical questions, using financial clues to reorganize the growth course of ancient China, and explaining many historical phenomena from the perspective of money. Each lecture in the book revolves around three strands: first, the changing trajectories of the three elements of the financial system, income, expenditure, and management, in historical time and space; Second, from the perspective of financial system changes, to see the continuous growth of the Chinese nation; Third, the coercive power in the financial field from the monarch's private power to the public step by step in the historical process.
About the author
Liu Shougang is a professor at Shanghai University of Finance and Economics with a PhD in economics and a PhD in law. His research interests include Chinese financial history, Western financial thought history, and fiscal politics. His representative works include the Financial Aspects of the Country, Three Thousand Years of Finance in China, Opening the Modern Era: The Fiscal Politics of National Transformation, and Classical Interpretation of Governance and Financial Management in Ancient China.
