　　威廉·瓦格纳（WilhelmWägner，1800—1886），德国作家、语言学家。《中世纪史诗与浪漫主义》体现了瓦格纳的中世纪文学研究成果，本书最初出版于1884年。作为德国最杰出的作家之一，瓦格纳在古典古代流行史学方面的杰出才能还体现在《土地与人民》《罗马帝国的兴起、扩张与衰落》等著作中。

About the author

WilhelmWagner (1800-1886) was a German writer and linguist. The Epic and Romanticism of the Middle Ages represents Wagner's work on medieval literature and was originally published in 1884. As one of Germany's most distinguished writers, Wagner's outstanding ability in the popular history of classical antiquity is also reflected in the Land and the People and the Rise, Expansion and Fall of the Roman Empire.
