《称雄天下》内容简介

　　近代早期前夕，明朝皇帝统治着全球约四分之一的人口、世界最大城市中的大多数、规模最大的常备军，以及当时最繁荣的经济体。通过与欧亚大陆诸政权之领袖的互动，明朝早期的皇帝与成吉思汗后裔争夺成吉思汗王朝的遗产，树立自己欧亚大陆施恩者（众王之王）的形象，同时争取草原及周边地区统治精英的效忠，他们为此付出了很多努力。明廷远非与世隔绝，而是当时欧亚大陆东部乃至全世界最大的政治施恩中心。美国历史学家鲁大维利用诏书、文臣奏议和诗歌等丰富史料，将明朝早期皇帝的统治置于欧亚大陆的广阔背景下进行考察，提供了理解明代前期皇权统治的不同视角。

Brief introduction to the content of "Ruling the World"

On the eve of the early modern period, Ming emperors ruled about a quarter of the world's population, most of the world's largest cities, the largest standing army, and the most prosperous economy of the time. Through interactions with the leaders of the Eurasian regimes, the early Ming emperors and the descendants of Genghis Khan fought hard for the legacy of the Genghis Khan dynasty, to establish themselves as the benefactors of Eurasia (Kings of Kings), and to gain the allegiance of the ruling elites of the steppes and surrounding regions. Far from being isolated, Ming Ting was the largest center of political patronage in eastern Eurasia and the world at that time. American historian David Lu draws on rich historical materials such as imperial edits, sonatas and poems to examine the rule of the early Ming emperors in the broad context of Eurasia, providing a different perspective for understanding imperial rule in the early Ming Dynasty.
