Journalist, crime columnist, lives in New York. He is the author of The Lolita Archetype, The Unspeakable Crime, The Villain: How a Murderer Was Freed, and the editor of Unthinkable Crimes. He was a finalist for the 2020 National Magazine Reporting Award and served as a Calderwood Journalism Fellow at McDowell. Weinmann's work has appeared frequently in New York, The Wall Street Journal, Vanity Fair, and The Washington Post, and he writes a crime column for the New York Times Book Review.
