作者简介
切斯瓦夫・米沃什（Czesław Miłosz，1911―2004），波兰诗人、作家、翻译家，1911年出生于波兰第一共和国的立陶宛。1978年获诺斯达特国际文学奖，1980年获诺贝尔文学奖，被誉为“我们时代最伟大的诗人之一”。著作宏富，主要作品有诗集《冬日钟声》《在河岸边》《三个冬天》《白昼之光》《日出日落之处》《无法抵达的土地》，自传体小说《伊萨谷》，回忆录《故土》《米沃什词典》，日记《猎人的一年》，政论《被禁锢的头脑》，文集《站在人这边》《在时间荒原上》，诗论《诗的见证》等。
A brief introduction to the Milosh Dictionary:
In June 1940, Czeslaw Milosz made the long trek from Vilno to Nazi-occupied Warsaw through the four Soviet lines of defense. After more than half a century in exile, he returned to his hometown of Verno, "a city that grew out of a fairy tale." Reunited with his past, he returned to an indirect form of self-expression and began to register events with various historical figures rather than talking about himself. The Milosz Dictionary is such a substitute: it replaces a novel, an essay, a memoir.
Milosz's life witnessed many of the horrors of the 20th century: World War II, the Holocaust, the White Terror... Hell once spread around the world like ink on blotting paper. As if by fate, Milosz lived to the end of his intellectual generation. Almost all of their contemporaries, struggling with power and ideology, have fallen into the grasp of history, their tribulations and deaths eclipsed by the waters of oblivion, while the ghosts of fanaticism, xenophobia and fear that led to the devastation still roam. About the author
Czes? aw? osz (1911-2004) was a Polish poet, writer and translator born in 1911 in Lithuania, Poland. He was awarded the International Prize for Literature in 1978 and the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1980, and is considered "one of the greatest poets of our time". His major works include poetry collection "The Bell in Winter", "On the River Bank", "Three Winters", "The Light of Day", "The Place where the Sun rises and Sets", "The Inaccessible Land", autobiographical novel "The Valley of Isa", memoir "Native Land", "Milosh Dictionary", diary "The Hunter's Year", political treatise "The Imprisoned Mind", anthology "On the Side of People", "In the Wasteland of Time", The Witness of Poetry and so on.
