圣安德鲁斯大学艺术史博士，曾在威尔士大学、明尼阿波利斯艺术与设计学院、明尼苏达大学和查普曼大学任教。担任查普曼大学艺术收藏总监。作品发表在《猎户座》（Orion）、《华盛顿邮报》、《今日中国》等众多刊物上。还著有《知识就是乐趣》（Knowledge is Pleasure）、《珍珠：大自然的完美宝石》（Pearl:Nature’s Perfect Gem）等作品。

He holds a Ph.D. in Art history from the University of St. Andrews and has taught at the University of Wales, Minneapolis College of Art and Design, the University of Minnesota, and Chapman University. Director of art collections at Chapman University. His works have been published in Orion, The Washington Post, China Today and many other publications. He is also the author of "Knowledge is Pleasure" and "Pearl:Nature's Perfect Gem."
