马凌，复旦大学新闻学院教授、博士生导师。以malingcat昵称，长期活跃于豆瓣网，为《三联生活周刊》《新京报书评周刊》《南方阅读周刊》《澎湃》等撰写书评。出版有《共和与自由：美国近代新闻史研究》《后现代主义中的学院派小说家》等专著，编有《媒介化社会与当代中国》等书，在《新闻与传播研究》《外国文学评论》《复旦大学学报》等刊物上发表论文四十余篇。

About the author
Ma Ling is a professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Journalism, Fudan University. Known as malingcat, he has long been active on Douban.com, writing book reviews for Sanlian Life Weekly, Beijing News Book Review Weekly, Southern Reading Weekly, and The Paper. He has published monographs such as Republic and Liberty: A Study on the History of Modern American Journalism, Academic Novelists in Postmodernism, edited books such as Media Society and Contemporary China, and published more than 40 papers in journals such as Journalism and Communication Studies, Foreign Literature Review, Journal of Fudan University, etc.
